Mighty mountains and stunning white snow: during the expedition you will experience an amazing world filled with powerful glaciers and alpine peaks. Throughout the expedition you will be with the dog teams, travelling through the stunning landscape. The only sound you will hear is from the dogs’ feet quietly padding through the snow.
Northwest from Longyearbyen lies Trollheimen; the mountain wilds wheredreams become reality. The expedition starts with a boat trip over the Isfjord to Borebukta. Here we set up our camp that we will use as a base for day trips. Each day you will find you have more and more contactwith the dogs, as they faithfully listen foryour cues and affectionately follow yourcommands. This is a fantastic way to experience the Arctic – miles of white plains covered in nearly deafening silence. Throughout the decades mushers and dogs have experienced the magnificent landscape together, and the dogs also make great polar bear guards. This will be your own authentic polar expedition.
On this map you will see where our expeditions at wintertime will be situated. The exact route is depending on weather and snow conditions.
