Svalbard has its very own blues festival, Dark Season Blues, which kicks off in October each year. The festival has been a great success, and brings many visitors up from the mainland.
This year the festival is being extended with a blues weekend in february. Winter blues will be held from 16th - 18th of February, as a taste of things to come at Dark Season Blues 2012.Experience Erik Harstad with his band in Barentz Pub on Friday, February 17, and then hear Billy T and band take over the stage the next night. Bjørn Berge is also coming to Svalbard for February Blues.
