Pick up at your accommodation (not the camping site) and transport to the parking lot in Nybyen. Here you get to meet our friendly polar dog which will keep us company for the next 3 hours. We will continue on foot to the glacier Longyearbreen where we look for 40-60 million years old plant fossils. When we arrive at the moraine, you have the possibility to look for fossils that you are allowed to take with you home as souvenirs.

Additional information
This is a short hike but, as the terrain is demanding and there are streams that must be crossed, it is not suitable for people who have difficulties walking. We recommend hiking or rubber boots, wind- and/or waterproof clothing, a cap and mittens.
