Warmly dressed and equipped with a float suit we head out Isfjorden in an open and sturdy Polarcirkel boat. We pass Bjørndalen and drive towards Fuglefjellet which has thousands of nesting sea birds in June and July.
We then head towards the abandoned Russian mining settlement Grumant, before going further on to Advent City and Hiorthhamn. Be part of the fascinating stories from early mining operations and see the remains of the sites from the early 1900’s.Hot drinks will be served. The route may change slightly depending on the weather conditions. We recommend that you dress well with gloves and hat, and waterproof mountain boots/wellies.Includes transport from/to accommodation (not the camping site), floatable suit, coffee/tea and biscuits. The boats are quite small and you may experience some bumpy sea and sea spray. The safari is not recommended for people with back problems or pregnant women.
