Join us on a unique hike in the darkness in one of Longyearbyen’s nearby valleys. If there is snow we will use snowshoes to move around.
In the valley we will see traces from human activity from hunting to coal mining. We may also see some of the exotic wildlife in the arctic on Svalbard such as reindeers and the Arctic fox.
In a warm, traditional Sami tent, our guide will talk about life so far North. We will enjoy a hot drink and sausages over an open fire. If we are lucky, we'll be see the Northern Lights above us in the sky.
This activity takes approximately 3 hours and the walking distance is a couple of kilometers.
